Gîte/B&B « La Clôture »
“La Clôture” in La Bagatelle, Lanouée, is close to (4km) the medieval tourist town of Josselin.
Josselin is a typical “Petit Cité de Caractère” and has its beautiful “Chateau de Rohan” There are small, narrow streets and lovely shops. You may visit The “Basilique Notre Dame du Roncier” who dominates the square! There is the musée des poupées and where you also find good restaurants and crèperies. There is a market on Saturday morning.
Morbihan is one of the departments of Brittany, where the hills and valleys are soft and gentle. The coast is rough, but also with sandy beaches. At low tide the oysters, mussels and other lovely shellfish can be “picked” of the beaches.

Fôret de Brocéliande
The region around “La Clôture” is quiet with small forests in the surrounding areas. You may take lovely walks or bike rides. “Le Forêt the Lanouée” is close by and the magical “Forêt the Brocéliande” is in close proximity.
It’s a rural area with grain- and cornfields and where cows still graze in the fields. There are many sights to visit or see along the roads when you go for a walk or riding a bike. The small towns and villages are old and some have a small café or shops, the people there are very friendly. In Lizio, for example, is a beautiful little church an a few museums; the “Insectarium” or the “Poët Ferrailleur”.
The town of Vannes is 45 minutes to the south. Vannes is a beautiful medieval town and has many museums and many sights to see. Vannes has a market every Wednesday- and Saturday morning; it is almost a must to go there in combination with other activities in Vannes!

Josselin Market
Josselin has a market on Saturday morning and in Ploërmel on Friday morning. In both towns you’ll find all amenities. Malestroit only a little bit further away has its market on Thursday morning and is again a lovely little medieval town with a lovely church.
